Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan is an environmental plan that tracks water runoff that goes into our waterways. The program is fairly extensive and includes engineering and best practices to eliminate or minimize runoff from your property. Stormwater regulations are part of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit program. Stormwater permits require permittees to control polluted discharges. Regulated parties must develop stormwater pollution prevention plans to address their stormwater discharges. Each company determines the appropriate pollution prevention practices or "Best Management Practices" to minimize pollution at their specific location.
