Hazardous Waste
OECS, Inc. will assist companies in complying with the Hazardous Waste Rules. This would include all levels of generators: minimal, very small, small and large. We develop and implement operational programs for compliance in addition to the periodic training of the company’s actual program. Roles and responsibilities are part of the periodic training. OECS, Inc. also conducts periodic audits of hazardous waste programs to ensure internal reporting and follow through are complied with.
Hazardous Waste is the most heavily regulated and tightly enforced environmental regulation. This is due to the high number of Hazardous Waste Generators and the potential environmental impacts from improperly handling hazardous waste. Basically, if your company has a chemical listed in the regulation or possesses a hazardous waste characteristic, you are under the hazardous waste regulation. The level of compliance is determined by how much waste you create. It involve EPA ID numbers, license, storage limitations, tracking shipments, training, record keeping and annual reporting.
